When you hear the word ‘fit’ what image springs to mind? For many it’s the muscly guy with the six pack, and chiseled features, or maybe the girl in the gym two piece with just enough damp sweat to look sexy?
I had a look at the dictionary to see what the real definition is. According to The Oxford English Dictionary , fitness is, ‘the state of being physically healthy and strong’.
I like that. It’s not necessarily about a certain look, or even how heavy you can lift. There is a level of fitness that is desirable for everyone, maintaining a healthy weight, having a body that functions well to do the tasks of life. How about we take the images of super fit, beautiful people out of our thinking and celebrate the ordinary body doing what it was designed to do. Now that is an achievable goal.
I like that!
Yep! I think fitness should be accessible to everyone.
After working out with you, I feel happy, confident, comfortable in my body and most importantly capable (physically and mentally).
Aww. Thank you. I absolutely love seeing your progress!
