HOW IT WORKS
When you book any health and fitness course with me you can be assured that you will receive a very personalised service. I take pride in making sure that all the legal and safety requirements are met and I am available to answer any questions you may have.
I deliver my services both in person (local to Bristol) and online (anywhere in the world), which means you can workout whether you are away on business or even on holiday!
Exercise referral simply means that you should not exercise without referring to your GP. When a person begins training either in a group or 1:1, they have to answer certain questions to check it is safe for them to exercise. If you need to be referred to your GP I can help you work within the safe limits of your condition. Many health conditions can be helped through a safe exercise programme.

A Little About Me
Since first training I have spent time increasing my understanding and qualifications. I am trained to work with people who have health challenges. I also hold a Level 4 qualification in Obesity and Diabetes.
Many people are advised by their GP to take up exercise but they don’t know where to start. It may be that they are nervous and don’t want to risk making their condition worse. My GP referral qualification means that I have been trained to help people with health conditions train safely.
I also hold a level 4 specialist Obesity and Diabetes qualification. This enables me to work with a high level of knowledge and understanding with clients in that group. One of my big passions is helping people to break free from the shame that often comes with obesity. People become obese for many different reasons and I will always provide a judgement free space for you as you work towards your own goals.
I have tried many approaches including ashtanga (which was far too intense for my condition). I then found Caroline and with her help, guidance and support I started slowly with stretching and weight-bearing exercises and then increased my activity as my tolerance increased. Most importantly Caroline listens. When I am feeling fatigued Caroline adjusts the workout (getting my heartrate up, which clears my foggy head and warms up my cold hands and feet) until my body feels ready to progress.
Caroline has a way of working round problems that might occur – if I can’t do something the conventional way, she will come up with another way of creating the same effect.
Her boundless enthusiasm and positivity is infectious.
I never thought I’d find myself saying this, but Caroline has made me love exercise and relish getting fit.
I’d really like to recommend Caroline at the Fitness Hive. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’d never been to a personal trainer, but she has really got me working hard in the gym, which is exactly what I wanted.
